What You Need to Know
Hello there and welcome to my blog!
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jessica and on the 29th of December, 2018 I became a mum for the first time to our beautiful son, Kaiden William. Becoming a mum has been my greatest achievement yet. Yes, it's tiring, yes, it's so different to any other job I have ever done, and yes, some days are harder than others, but there's something about being a mum (or a parent for that matter), that just makes life all that bit more special and worthwhile (that's the way I feel about it anyway).
So, a little bit about me... I'm 26, and live with my beautiful husband, Shaun, our son Kaiden, who is almost three months old, and our two loveable German shepherd terrors, Zeus and Xena. I'm a high school teacher, with both PDHPE and Religious Education as my subject areas. I love teaching, and have a real passion for educating the young minds of today. I am currently on maternity leave, and although I do miss being in the classroom, being a stay-at-home mum is something I'm not ready to give up yet.
Just Being Mum is a space where I can write down all my feelings and experiences. I love writing about my passions, what interests me, what interests others, and sharing all of my thoughts with my readers. I absolutely love being a mum, and feel as if that was my calling life. Life is busy, very busy. Brushing my hair is a leisure these days. Every day is different, whether it's boring or crazy, it's truly a blessing. And those days when you're up to your ears in washing, holding your eyelids up with tooth picks, or having a solid cry in the shower, remember, tomorrow is another day, tomorrow will be different.
I created Just Being Mum with the hope of providing other mums (or dads) comfort in knowing it's ok to a have a rough day, it's ok to make mistakes, and it's ok to be 'just mum'.
I hope you enjoy browsing my site and all of the unique content I have to offer. I love to chat and meet new people, so please feel free to add comments.
Thank you and God Bless all you parents out there. You are doing an amazing job.
xx Jessica
